Booting on Pegasos 2

annother way of booting ppcrcd:


  vmlinuz is chrp-bootable kernel with initrd included, you can boot in directly, on Pegasos 2. In SmartFirmware this one should work: 
> boot cd:0 boot/vmlinuz


  you can optionally add kernel options: 
> boot cd:0 boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/ram0 tomempost
which will load whole image to memory. Remember to add root=/dev/ram0 if specifing any option.

tips for instalation


  Install kernel-libs package, this will prepare /boot/zImage-<version> , kernel bootable on chrp machines.
